Built 1958. Named for the 1915-30 conductor of the San Francisco Symphony, Alfred Hertz, who left his estate to Berkeley for music. Hertz Hall's 678-seat concert hall hosts free noontime concerts during the academic year. The building also houses the music department's collection of historic organs.

Restrooms: There are four multiple user restrooms and one single user restroom on the ground level. Two of the multiple user restrooms next to auditorium do provide enough space in a stall for side transfer capabilities.
Designated waiting area: The Designated Waiting Area is located adjacent to the elevator.
Emergency evacuation cabinet: S: The emergency evacuation cabinet is located on the first floor directly across from the elevator.
Accessibility features: There are five usable fountains in the building. Location: Two are in the main lobby/entrance, to the left and right. Two more along west side of building. One located near northwest corner of building.
